Ecological design: our packaging in the recycling loop
Responsible action is also a top priority at GLYNT when it comes to packaging. We have already converted the majority of our bottles, tubes and jars to recycled material, which can also be recycled after use and is therefore used in a closed cycle.
Packaging & Recycling :
Bottles, tubes & jars
Responsible action is also a top priority at GLYNT when it comes to packaging. We have already converted the majority of our bottles, tubes and jars to recycled material, which can be recycled after use and thus used in a closed cycle.
Glas
Glass bottles are very energy-intensive to produce. The ecological disadvantage is only offset by the fact that almost 90% of glass is recycled in Germany. It is melted down and reused for glass production. As the packaging and transportation costs for glass bottles are relatively high due to the risk of breakage and the weight, we only use glass packaging for a few, particularly sensitive formulations.
Shipping
Our shipping boxes and filling materials are made from 100% recycled paper.
For a few packaging components, the use of recycled material is not yet possible. But here too, we are actively working with our producers and suppliers to produce even more sustainably in the future so that we can offer a 100% recycled packaging range.
For our recycled bottles and jars, we use material that is collected in Europe as part of the collection of recyclable materials.
//Refill Station
Refill
We can certainly call ourselves pioneers of refilling, as we offered the first stainless steel refill station for hair cosmetics almost 30 years ago. The refill service is more popular than ever, because even a single refill of a shampoo bottle reduces packaging waste by 50 percent. GLYNT shampoos have a practical "twist" cap so that the bottle can be opened for refilling simply by twisting the cap.
